Scot Seitz, President
Scot Seitz, PhD is the co-owner of Lumen Guidance & Consultation, an Atlanta-based company that provides program development and evaluation services. He completed a joint doctoral program in Community and Clinical Psychology at Georgia State University, and a postdoctoral residency program in health service psychology at Emory University School of Medicine. Scot specializes in comprehensive and culturally-informed program evaluations using qualitative and quantitative methods. Many of his clients are health-related organizations, positive youth development and mentoring programs, and community-based nonprofits. As a licensed psychologist with a background in Community Psychology, he considers the range of factors, from micro to macro levels, that impact communities, organizations, programs, and individuals.
Ana Paula Duarte, President-Elect & Co-Chair of Pro Bono Committee
Ana Paula is the President-Elect and Co-Chair for the Pro Bono Committee. She works as an Evaluation Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention*. Ana has been volunteering as a project lead in the Pro Bono program for the past two years, and is now excited to transition to working in the AaEA committee. Ana is very passionate about evaluation, and more specifically the importance of evaluation in the climate change and adaptation field. [*Ana Paula is serving in a personal capacity]
Alice Chen, Treasurer
Alice Chen is an evaluator and health scientist. Currently, she works as a Health Scientist in the Division of Violence Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.* Her evaluation experience includes working with projects in intimate partner violence and technical assistance, as well as post-project sustainability. Alice is passionate about health equity and sustainability in public health projects. She has her MPH from Emory University and her BS in Public Health and Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin. Alice also enjoys travel, taking walks, and video games in her free time. Sara Wolicki, Secretary
Sara Wolicki is an evaluator, researcher, and social scientist. With over a decade of experience at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Sara served as a Health Scientist, working on a variety of public health topics. Outside of work, Sara loves embroidering, exploring museums, and spending time with family and friends.
Michelle Fletcher, Past President
Michelle Fletcher is a behavioral scientist in the Division of Cancer Prevention and Control at the CDC*. Prior to CDC, Michelle worked at Emory University where she led projects focused on re-engaging patients into HIV care and PrEP implementation strategies for women in the Southeast US. Michelle received her MPH in Global Health with a concentration in Community Health Development from Emory University in 2020, and a BS in Community Health Sciences from California State University, East Bay in 2017. In her free time, Michelle serves as a mentor to college students interested in public health; and enjoys trying new restaurants, hiking, and spending time with friends. Emma Waugh is the founder and president of Hoehn Public Health Consulting,LLC whose mission is to help community partners understand,measure, and amplify their impact in the ways that are most meaningful tothem. She is a non-Native ally and has experience in Tribal publichealth focusing on mental health, youth substance abuse prevention, nutrition,and public health infrastructure. Emma has a Master of Public Health fromEmory University and previously served as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer inCamden, NJ. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Atlanta, spending time inthe mountains, and participating in triathlons with her husband.
Cheralynn Corsack is the founder and principal of Cheralynn Corsack Consulting with over eight years of experience as an evaluator. She specializes in quantitative (numbers) and qualitative (interviews and focus groups) data collection and analysis that centers peoples’ experiences. She is passionate about giving data back to those who provided it and facilitating conversations to empower people to contextualize, understand, and use their data to take action. Cheralynn earned her Master of Public Health in Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health at University of California, Berkeley where she was trained in program planning and evaluation and quantitative and qualitative methods. She served as an AmeriCorps Service Member outside Atlanta, GA working with youth with behavioral and intellectual disabilities. Cheralynn was born and raised in rural New Hampshire and now lives in Atlanta, Georgia. In her free time, she casually bikes around Atlanta and plays grass-court volleyball. |
Eyelachew Desta is a global health professional with a decade of experience in designing, managing, monitoring, and evaluating high‑impact Global health programs across Ethiopia, East Africa, and the United States. As a Program Evaluation Fellow at the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, Global Health Unit (2022–2025), he provided technical support for major evaluation projects, including an economic evaluation of the cost‑effectiveness of the HIV Triplex assay in Nigeria; he led in collaboration with subject matter experts of the Global HIV and TB Division. He also contributes to the Atlanta Area Evaluators Association (AAEA), offering pro‑bono evaluation support to a nonprofit organization. Before his U.S. tenure, Eyelachew managed a five‑year PEPFAR‑funded HIV/AIDS program in Ethiopia, expanding access to care and treatment for thousands. After earning his Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) with a concentration in Community-Based Primary Health Care Program in Global Health from Johns Hopkins University, he interned at USAID as an Innovation and Scale‑Up Intern and worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at Project HOPE, where he led the evaluation of a COVID‑19 vaccine confidence‑building program implemented across five states. Passionate about advancing health equity in underserved communities, Eyelachew also enjoys traveling, African literature, and international jazz. |
