The first AaEA Speed Mentoring Event occurred on Thursday, April 26, 2018.
We’d like to thank our terrific mentors once again for sharing their wisdom and experience: Sarah Boyd, Kathlene Butler, Thomas Chapel, Carter Garber, Sally Honeycutt, Ann Price, and Aisha Rios.
We gave a evaluation survey at the end of the night and got some great feedback!
-
All of our participants shared that they would recommend this event to a friend. A few mentees reported that it was a great networking opportunity.
-
One mentee shared, “I enjoyed talking to different evaluators in a structured way. This format is less scary or awkward than at a cocktail or happy hour! And another mentee found that “it was great to meet people without the pressure to start conversations on your own.”
-
Mentors also enjoyed the event. One mentor wrote, “Lots of great energy! Good to hear from up and coming evaluators.” Mentors even learned a thing or two from the mentees. One mentor shared that they learned about tools and resources.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make this event a resounding success, including the Mentoring Program Subcommittee, our mentees, and our mentors!
