The AaEA leadership is pleased to announce an effort to draft amendments to our bylaws in 2018. We recently completed an iterative process of review and revisions to ensure the bylaws reflected the way we operate in practice and aligned with our mission. At this time, we are sharing the revised bylaws with the broader membership to elicit feedback.
In Person Opportunity to Provide Feedback
All AaEA members are invited to attend our in-person quarterly council meeting on October 22nd 7pm-8:30pm (call in options will be available). This will provide an opportunity to learn more about the revision process and discuss any specific feedback, questions, and comments. The physical location and call in details for the October meeting will be announced closer to the date to all those who RSVP. Please send all RSVPs directly to Aisha Rios at atlantaaea@gmail.com so we are able to track number of attendees and ensure we have the space to accommodate everyone.
Virtual Opportunity to Provide Feedback
We will also be accepting feedback via email through November 5th, so if you cannot attend our in-person meeting, we encourage you to reach out directly to Aisha Rios at atlantaaea@gmail.com.
Opportunity to Vote on Final Proposed Revisions
After all feedback has been collected, the AaEA leadership will review and make any additional changes before finalizing a final proposed revised version of the bylaws. This version will be presented for a vote from all members at our End of the Year Social and Elections in December (date TBD) along with other elections proceedings.
