Event Description: Are you interested in developing your data visualization techniques? Join us for a two-hour hands-on session to discuss the latest and greatest in the field of data visualization and practice your skills within Excel. You do not need to be a graphic designer to take your data to the next level! During the session you will be instructed on how to create four visualizations using fake data.
Please bring a computer with Excel to this session. If you are unable to do so please let Lillian Madrigal (lillianhelen@gmail.com) know so that we can try to find you a computer to use for the session.
This event is grounded in the data visualization research and practice of Stephanie Evergreen, PhD and we will be working through some tutorials presented in her books:
Evergreen, S. D. (2016). Effective data visualization: The right chart for the right data. Sage Publications.
Evergreen, S. D. (2017). Presenting data effectively: Communicating your findings for maximum impact. Sage Publications.
