Learning agendas are, simply a strategic plan for evidence building and use. A learning agenda includes a (1) set of questions addressing the critical knowledge gaps impeding informed design and implementation decisions and (2) plans for learning activities to help answer those questions. Learning agendas are used by non-profits, NGOs, and governments to work more effectively and efficiently. As part of the 2019 Evidence Act, "learning agendas are the driving force for several of the activities required by and resulting from the evidence act."
We will have a brief overview of what learning agendas are, their history, and how they are used. As a group, we will do an activity called "The World's Fastest Learning Agenda" where you will use examples from your own work to put together the main components of a learning agenda including the evidence need, evidence utility, evidence users, evidence building activities, and evidence dissemination and use.
