Michelle Obama Trail

GSU Perimeter College, Decatur Campus

Take 2: Join friends or make new ones on a bike ride or walk on the South River Trail, aka the Michelle Obama trail on May 20th. We’ll meet in the far corner of the parking lot at the GSU Perimeter College/Decatur campus. The parking lot is *directly across from* 2946 Clifton Springs Road, Decatur, 30034. Gather at 11:00AM; take off at 11:15AM.

Bikers: Bring water and a helmet (and your bike!). The trail is paved, completely protected (not on streets), and pretty flat! Haven’t ridden your bike in a long time? Don’t worry! That’s the point of this ride—to get outdoors, get your bike out, and enjoy great conversation (evaluation related and not) with friends. The trail is 10 miles (five out/back). You’re welcome to ride the whole thing, or just a part of it, and we’ll make sure everybody has company, whatever portion they want to ride. We’ll have a bike pump on hand. And let's hope the weather cooperates this time! In the event of rain or inclement conditions, we’ll reschedule. 

Walkers: Bring water and walking shoes that can get muddy. The trail is paved, but it has occasional puddles. The trail is quite long but the group can choose how far to walk. On the last AaEA walk and talk ages ago, I think we walked 1.5 miles at a very conversational pace.

Everyone: Bring great conversation about the latest eval article you’ve read, an eval success you want to share, or a challenge you’d like some help with.
