On April 24 we welcomed over 50 evaluators to a candid, collaborative session with Charlotte Newman and Ajay Reddy. Together, we explored the art of skill stacking—combining project management, sense-making, technology fluency, and advanced facilitation—and worked through concrete steps for “private-sectorizing” our résumés, networking effectively, and positioning our talents for business settings. Attendees left with fresh inspiration, a clear roadmap of next steps, and a growing sense of community support.
In advance of the event, AaEA collected anonymous stories from CDC, HHS, USAID, and related agencies. Respondents selected from three prompts—Trigger Moments, Support Landscapes, and Silver Linings & New Directions—then used triads and sliders to self-signify their experiences. Key themes included:
